Enrollment Deposit
The enrollment deposit is $400. The deposit is credited toward first-semester tuition and is non-refundable.
If the deposit is submitted after the National Candidates Reply Date of May 1 for the upcoming fall semester, enrollment may be deferred to the following semester.
Student Experience and Living
Student costs at ACU support the academic, residential, and community experience that defines life at Austin Christian. The Student Experience Fee covers items such as eBooks, professional speakers, intramurals, Welcome Week, leadership coaching, community engagement events, and student company competitions.
Students who do not wish to participate in on-campus housing must notify the University. Refer to the housing policy in the University Catalog for additional detail.

Students who do not pay all tuition and fees before or during registration must complete a legally binding Promissory Note that details when payments are due. Students using the payment plan are invoiced on or before Move-In day.
Students with unpaid balances after the final payment date are barred from registration for the upcoming semester. Populi accounts are placed on Financial Probation, and students lose access to final grades. Non-payment in full is a contractual breach and prohibits subsequent enrollment until the balance is paid. Debt unpaid for more than 90 days is referred to collections and reported to the credit bureaus. A co-signatory is required for students under age 18.
Scholarships
The Lion Scholarship is a competitive scholarship available to full-time incoming and returning students.
Awards are based on need, and are determined using methodology similar to the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Applicants are encouraged to apply for the Lion Scholarship after they have received acceptance into the university.
Federal Aid and Financing
Federal aid is exclusively available for the SEU courses that a student takes, not for any Austin Christian costs. Students should not assume federal Title IV aid is available for ACU institutional charges.
Austin Christian University does not publicize a separate institutional grant program.
Students may also explore outside scholarships and other non-governmental funding sources.
For current financing guidance, please review the University Catalog and contact ACU directly with any questions about your specific situation.
