Campus Safety at Austin Christian University
Austin Christian University is committed to providing a safe, secure, and supportive environment for all students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Our community-centered approach to safety emphasizes prevention, quick response, and clear communication. ACU partners closely with the Georgetown Police Department and maintains internal safety procedures designed to protect our campus and promote personal responsibility among community members.
ACU regularly reviews and strengthens its security practices, including facility access controls, emergency response procedures, crime-prevention programs, and annual training for students and employees. We encourage all members of our community to stay alert, report concerns promptly, and participate in the safety resources available to them.

In most circumstances, a confidential resource will not share what you tell them without your consent; the exceptions are an imminent risk of harm and disclosures the law requires. A report to the SDSH Coordinator or through the reporting form is not confidential; the university responds to it.
